The ZALA marathon is an amazing event on our site! Three fascinating days, many interesting topics and speakers! On the first day we talked about our city, its life and inspiration. The speakers were: Stanislav Demin (urbanist, architect, member of the town-planning council, member of the Union of Urbanists of Ukraine, Vig Janos Janoshevich, architect, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in architecture) and Natalia Kachalova, project manager of the Platrofma Art Plant. On the day two we discussed the modern Ukrainian art development and the special role the galleries and art dealers play in it. The speakers of the evening were: Oleg Pinchuk, sculptor, ideologist of modern Ukrainian art, M17 gallery manager, and Viktor Hamatov, president of Soviart Center for Contemporary Art. The third day was dedicated to the trends of 2017. Artist Konstantin Rudeshko emphasized a particular design trend known as "op-art”. Designer Yuri Zimenko and the Decor Studio "Faktura.UA" presented their collection of furniture in this style, and blogger Dmitry Deer uncovered the secrets of a project’s web promotion. It was a special occasion to sum up the year’s progress of the ZALA space and its prospects for the next year. The evening finished with the celebration of the ZALA’s first birthday.
